Choose “Create Content”
Choose “Blog entry”
Give your entry a tile.
Add to the body.
When you are done, click “Preview”.
Once you preview the entry, you can save it.
As soon as you post a blog entry, your user name will appear on the “Blogs” listing. All of your blog posts will appear there. Please give it a try. If you don’t like what you post or find out something is wrong, you can change it.
First, log in.
In one of the blocks on the right hand side you will see a link that says, “Create content.” Click that link. One of your choices for the type of content to create is, “Blog entry.” Click that link.
The fields, “Title” and “Body” should be self-explanatory. If you wish your post to display an image, or have a link to a downloadable file, like a Word document, click on the “File attachments” link. Click “Browse” and go to the folder that contains the image or file. Click on the file or picture and choose, “Open.” This will take you back to the blog content page you are creating. Click “Attach.” (Note: File sizes over 1 megabyte will not upload. Image files will automatically be resized to 320x240.)
I suggest you uncheck the “List” box unless you want the file/image to be downloaded. Leave it checked if it is a document you want viewers to easily download. I also suggest you delete the description. The description shows up under the image but it is slightly cut-off. Leave the description if it is something downloadable, but you most likely should change it. For example, if the name of the files is “120209homework.doc”, that is what the link text will look like. Something in the description like, “12/2/09 Homework” would look better.
